Hi Ian,
I am very confused between MODL and SOL list.
I have my bachelors of engineering in Electronics & Comm. and working in IT since 4 years.
I should get my skills assessed from Engineer's australia or ACS?
I am test analyst and in ACS I fall under the category:
2231-79 Computing Professionals nec(Computing Tester)
2231-79 is there in the MODL list but there is no Computing tester.
2231-79 is not there in the SOL list.
I am very confused.
What should I do. Please guide me through.

Thanks,
Tanisha

Tanisha - The MODL had been abolished, so it is no longer relevant. The only list that is relevant is the new SOL.

Natasha - It is more than a rumour . the CSL will disappear mid year. See the article on our blog. If it is any comfort, I would expect most of the occupations currently on the CSL will be retained on the new SOL - that is purely an opinion. Australia needs most types of engineers, especially mining engineers, and health professionals.

Hi Ian

My partner and our have applied under state sponsorship in WA. His occupation is on the MODL and the CSL, so would they still prioritise him under the CSL quicker as far as processing times for sponsorship. We cannot put in the DIAC until we hear back from WA on the sponsorship, catch 22 really! We have been waiting since October 09 for their reply so only 6 months!
We are just concerned that the CSL may change before we hear back from WA. There is a rumour.
Kind Regards

Hi, I have received positive out come by Vettasses under Office manager job category recently. I have gained my qualification while I was working as an Office manager. Do I have to wait one year after my qualification completed to lodge my final application or can I apply any time as I have already work more than 5 years in same job role?
Thank you.
